The networking app

The professional networking app that introduces you to the right person

Most networking apps give you a feed to scroll and a search box full of strangers. Linktwos works the other way round. You say, in your own words, who would help you right now, and it introduces you to one well-matched person, with a short reason you should meet. Think of it as a matchmaker you text, built for work rather than dating.

What Linktwos does

The hard part of networking was never sending a message. It's working out who is worth messaging, and getting them to care enough to reply. Linktwos does that part. You describe the person you need the way you'd describe them to a well-connected friend:

“A bookkeeper for my bakery in Leeds”

“A co-founder who knows fintech”

“A mentor who has raised a seed round”

That's the whole input. No filters to set, no job titles to guess. It reads what you asked for, works out the kind of person you mean, and goes looking.

How this business networking app works, in three steps

  1. Say who would help. Type it like a text. If something isn't clear, it asks a quick question, such as whether the person needs to be near you or whether remote is fine. You can open "Check how I read your task" to see exactly how it understood you, and change it.
  2. Get one good match. You see one person at a time, with a short reason you should meet. People who are a good fit both ways, because you could help them too, come first.
  3. Connect or skip. Connect with a short note to start talking. If they're not right, skip. Every skip teaches it more about who you actually want.

To get going faster, you can import your CV or profile instead of filling in a form. That gives it a picture of what you offer, which matters, because the best matches are the ones where the other person gets something out of it too.

Who it's for

Linktwos is for anyone 18 or over who wants to meet people for their work. In practice, that tends to mean:

How it differs from feed-based networks

Feed-based networks are built around posting and being seen. That's useful for building a public profile, but it's a slow way to meet one particular person. You search, you send requests to strangers, and most of them never reply, because a cold message from someone they've never heard of gives them no reason to.

Linktwos has no feed and no inbox full of pitches. Nobody can cold-message you. The only people who can message you are:

So when a conversation starts, both people already had a reason to want it. If you're weighing up options, we compare the main LinkedIn alternatives in a separate guide, and explain why LinkedIn was built for broadcasting rather than introductions.

Who would help you right now?

Type it in your own words. Linktwos finds the person and tells you why you should meet.

Networking events, in the same app

Linktwos also runs inside events. You join from a link, a QR code or a short code, and check in by scanning the venue code when you arrive, so the people who are actually in the room show first. You get a ranked list of your top people there, each with a reason to meet. There's an event chat with announcements from the host, and speed networking rounds where every pairing is picked by who each person needs to meet. Afterwards you can connect with anyone you met and message your speed networking partners.

If you run events, see Linktwos for event organisers. If you're attending one, our conference networking playbook covers what to do before, during and after.

What to look for in the best professional networking app

Whichever app you end up using, these questions sort the useful ones from the noisy ones:

Once you have a match, the first message still matters. Our guides on how to ask for an introduction and how to follow up after networking have wording you can borrow.

Yes, you can start free. Free gives you one match a day and your top 3 people at events, and your first match is on us. Standard is £14.99 a month or £149.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on monthly, and gives you 5 matches a day and your top 10 people at events. How is Linktwos different from LinkedIn?

LinkedIn is good for being found and keeping a public profile. Linktwos is for meeting a specific person you need. You say who would help, and it introduces you to one person who fits, with a reason why. There is no feed and nobody can cold-message you.

Who can message me on Linktwos?

Only people you have a reason to talk to: people you've connected with (you both said yes), people you've swapped contact codes with, and your speed networking partners. At an event, other guests can message you too, and you can turn that off. You can block or report anyone, and reports are reviewed by a person.

Do I need to download an app?

No. Linktwos works in the browser on any phone or computer at app.linktwos.com. The iPhone app is on its way.

Who is Linktwos for, and where does it work?

Anyone 18 or over who wants to meet people for their work, such as founders, freelancers, small business owners, people changing careers and investors. Linktwos is starting in the UK.

How does Linktwos use AI and my data?

Linktwos uses AI from Anthropic and OpenAI only to run the service, such as reading your request and finding the right people, and it asks for your agreement first. There are no ads and your data is not sold. The details are in our privacy policy.
